Colin Downie
Actuary
Colin has over 20 years’ experience as an actuary advising Trustee boards and companies on the financing and risk management of their UK defined benefit pension schemes. Prior to Eriksens he spent over 19 years at WTW in the UK, where he was a Senior Director.
At Eriksens, Colin is involved in all aspects of actuarial work and in utilising his actuarial and analytical skills for investment strategy work. Attained a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Statistics, a Master of Science in Financial Mathematics and is a Fellow of both the New Zealand Society of Actuaries and of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries in the UK.
In his spare time Colin spends time with his wife, three children and the family dog. In particular he enjoys hill climbing, having swapped the Highlands of Scotland for the beautiful mountains of New Zealand.
